While reporting to the Head of Compliance, they will provide leadership to a team of finance professionals to deliver the effective and timely closure of the accounts for . This will include addressing matters arising from the audit of 2010'/11 accounts and coordinating the effort of colleagues within Finance Professional Services. Given the importance of good quality financial accounts to the reputation of my client, you will set the highest professional and technical standard for the Compliance Team and wider Finance Professional Services. You will be a "Chief Accountant" who is a seasoned professional in closing local authority accounts with exceptional technical accounting skills including IFRS experience. Full CCAB (accountancy) qualification is essential, ideally CIPFA.
