JOB SUMMARY
The ISA monitors, provides analysis and recommendations regarding trends and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. They will respond to suspected and verified security incidents and attacks. They will communicate details of current threats and steps to remediate to operation teams. This position will be participating in the threat management activities which includes but not limited to support of endpoint protection (SIEM) technologies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with log management tools and/or SIEM technologies
- Experience with vulnerability management tools
- Working knowledge of standard IT computing infrastructure
- Experience in identifying anomalous network activity and performing network forensics in order to identify undocumented threats and develop mitigation plans.
- Experience in identifying the relevance of security vulnerabilities, mitigation tactics and controls as they relate to current threats.
- A fundamental understanding of IT Security and the ability to apply risk management principles in all aspects IT Security
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in a Information Technology related field or equivalent work experience
- IT Security Certification such as Security + or CISSP
- Experience in Security Operations Center environments a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of Windows & UNIX Operating environment
- Knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, routing, VPN, and Firewalls)
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong customer service skills as well as strong negotiating and decision-making skills
- Experience in malware and traffic analysis to detect anomalous activity and root cause.
- Exhibit initiative, follow-up and follow through with customer commitments
- Ability to support and work in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the support and maintenance of security end point solutions
- Participate in special projects and assignments within IT Security
