An experienced Infrastructure Engineer is required by this leading Telco to work on the build of a new series of environments within Amazon Web Services. As part of a top-performing and highly regarded team, you will be deploying the latest open source applications, and developing processes to scale the environment as required. You will be working in an agile environment with other infrastructure engineers and application developers to streamline the delivery of new environments.
In order to be successful in this role, it is important that you have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years Unix/Linux system administration in large scale environments,
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) highly desirable.
- Strong system administration skills on UNIX (preferably red hat/ubuntu).
- Familiar with UNIX shells and Shell Scripting.
- Perl experience desirable.
- Good security and networking knowledge.
- Familiar with open source system monitoring tools.
- Comfortable installing/configuring and monitoring a wide variety of software (Apache2, Tomcat6, Postgres, MySQL etc.)
- Git experience well regarded.
