Change Manager, NSW Government organisation, Penrith based, 11 month contract, immediate start:

My client, a large NSW Government organisation requires the services of a Change Manager for a Penrith-based opportunity working on an initial 11 month contract.

As Change Manager you will provide support to a stream of IT driven projects and will be accountable for the successful delivery of the stakeholder engagement and transformational change - delivered through project wide change activities and the design and implementation of individual change plans within the various sub-projects.

The requirement, positioned within the IT department will see you provide support and advice to the IT Project Managers and the IT leadership team, ensuring successful business transformation, achieving a more service oriented culture, and providing more robust and reliable IT as a whole.

Key skills, knowledge & experience:

5 - 8 years demonstrated experience in successful change management delivery, particularly involving business process re-engineering, organisational re-design and business transformation projects in large organisations.
Qualifications in Change Management or Psychology.
Demonstrated experience and detailed knowledge of change management principles and methodologies (example: Prosci, Kotter, etc)
Familiarity with Project Management approaches, methods and tools including PRINCE2.
Past experience with IT Service Management practices and processes desirable
Demonstrated high-level experience in working with and influencing senior managers to develop, integrate and monitor change within their business.
Demonstrated team player, able to work with others.
Strong leadership skills including: capacity to set and gain commitment to project level objectives, ability to identify improvement opportunities and effectively implement comprehensive business change management programs.
The capacity to act as a team player whilst achieving challenging outcomes, successfully managing competing priorities, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution and consultation skills.

This role includes bringing the appropriate organisational change management expertise to the implementation of the required: systems, processes, capabilities, frameworks, policies, governance, and especially IT cultural change - achieving the targeted tangible, and intangible benefits of the project as a whole.
