Position Description:
The ICD-10 project consists of multiple projects running concurrently in various portfolios (Care Delivery (CD), Corporate Services (CS) and Health Plan (HP) and in all Kaiser Regions, with dependencies across portfolios and regions. Together, they will enable the KP computer systems and business operations attaining compliance (October 2013) with the U.S. Government mandated ICD-10 Regulation while minimizing any adverse impact to the business or to systems operations.The national ICD-10 team seeks a Business Test lead that will define and execute the User Acceptance Test (UAT) Strategy and oversee the UAT efforts from various national HP functions, business UAT teams along with facilitating test coordination with external test teams from all KP regions, portfolios (CD and CS BIO).
Responsibilities include:
Set strategic direction of UAT testing effort for the national program and ensures UAT is integrated with the overall HP program test strategy and plan phase of SIT, WIT, End to End and Trading Partner.
Leads and provide expert test strategy and testing leadership to support a highly visible, sensitive and multi-faceted Matrix program.
Accountable for the development of Test Strategy documentation for the HP BIO Program.
Develops Test Strategy for Business UAT testing and manages issues, problems, approaches and resources required.
Assess the Test Environment, Testing tools and Test Data requirements for UAT testing
Manages UAT Program Level Testing Plan and supports testing workstream UAT work plans (project plans) to ensure alignment with Test Strategy and alignment with IT owned test plans.
Establishes UAT test team membership and negotiates time commitments and resource allocation to ensure the Program UAT test Plan is successful completed.
Provides business staff leadership and testing expertise to multi-disciplinary teams, as well as manages work as assigned.
Address identified problems by engaging Business teams and IT teams.
Acts as the HP ICD10 National business liaison, problem solver, and facilitator for the program with all BIOs and regions and business and IT teams.
Ensures collaboration of key common resources to reduce the cost and schedule and resource impacts of test planning and test execution.
Track testing status and statistics and interpret what the data is showing - raise issues early, define risks, all based on progress
Facilitates and tracks defect review and resolution
Ensure implementation of the established testing methodologies, processes, standards and tools within the context of the appropriate project delivery process
Plans and facilitates meetings as assigned and needed.
Experience Level:
5- 8 years experience in Quality Assurance/Testing procedures, UAT, testing methodologies
Master's Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business administration, healthcare or related field preferred
Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
Experience managing/coordinating large testing projects spanning multiple applications and teams
Experience with testing of various technology platforms
Experience creating testing estimates and manage testing budgets
