Role: Finance Support Analyst
Location: Central London
Duration: 3 months
Rate: £160 to £180 per day
Our Public Sector client is currently seeking and experienced Finance Support Analyst to be responsible for pulling together the various management accounts, forecasts and corporate returns, that have been completed by the Business Support staff, then turn the data into an overall consolidated Group summary. You will have experience recharging central costs out to individual cost centres using the management information provided by the suppliers. You will analyse central cost recharging process, map it, implement process improvements, and work with suppliers to improve management information. You'll also provide ongoing support to Business Support Staff including preparation of summary reports in excel and also assist with posting of journals and other financial entries into the SAP finance system. Financial experience and working in a financial environment is essential. A financial qualification is not essential - an individual with practical finance experience rather than a highly technical individual is required. Essential Skills/Knowledge:
- Excel skills at intermediate level (good at data manipulation, look up formulae, pivot tables etc).
- SAP accounting system experience (although failing this we will consider individuals with extensive knowledge of other accounting systems)
- Good communication skills (may need to contact budget holders and suppliers from time to time).
- Team player (needs to co-ordinate tasks across a range of stakeholders).
Desirable Skills/Knowledge:
- Government accounting/public sector knowledge
- Organisation skills
- Documented process flows will need to handed over to the finance community.
