Intern/Graduate - Junior Engineer (Mobile Telecoms/Engineering)

Based: Republic Of Ireland/Dublin

This position will initially be on a temporary basis for up to 3 months. Although initially we are looking candidates to work on short term contract, these contracts often extend and full time roles may also become available.

Key Skills:

  • Technical degree. Typical subjects include: Telecoms, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mobile Computing etc
  • Knowledge of mobile networks (3G HSPA GSM)
  • A good understanding of mobile handsets and be able to distinguishing between smartphone technologies, platforms and applications.
  • Driving License essential

To work successfully in this role you will need to be familiar with mobile broadband devices and with understanding of differing technologies as well as hands-on knowledge of PC platforms and technologies - Windows: XP, Vista, Win 7, 32 and 64 bit.

We are looking to recruit a Junior Engineer (Intern/Graduate) to support our busy European team in Ireland. This position provides a great opportunity for the right candidate to add value to a growing business in the wireless device space and gain significant industry exposure. Tasks include:

  • Working with Test Engineers delivering complex test projects on mobile devices
  • Configuration and adapting proprietary test tools and software for projects.
  • Conduct field performance testing of mobile devices.
  • Capturing and review of test data to Project Managers.
  • Providing first line technical and operational support to Test Engineers.
