Our client, a leading Automotive OEM requires a CAE Analyst for its Vehicle Engineering Attributes Division.
An experienced vehicle dynamics CAE engineer capable of virtual and physical off-road whole vehicle testing. Skills Required: Extensive experience of Vehicle Dynamics simulation using ADAMS (Preferably ADAMS/Chassis or ADAMS/Car), Simpack or IPG CarMaker. Experience of objective whole vehicle testing of vehicle dynamics and driveability attributes Highly self-motivated engineer with proven inter-personal communication/networking skills. Confident presentation & report-writing skills; competent use of MS Office. Must have a valid UK driving licence. A flexible approach to work beyond normal hours as required. Reasonable flexibility to support overseas testing.
Skills Preferred: Ability to use Matlab, FORTRAN or C++ would be beneficial.
Experience Required: Previous experience of simulation within an automotive OEM, consultancy or motorsport organisation Good working knowledge of vehicle engineering, test & development, and experience of whole vehicle evaluation. Proven project and time management skills. Demonstrable evidence of application of a robust scientific approach & knowledge of design of experiments.
Experience Preferred: Experience of off-road driving and an appreciation of soil mechanics would be beneficial Experience of Six Sigma and design of experiments.
Educated to a m inimum first degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related subject (preferred but could be offset against suitable experience).
