UX/UI Designer
Job Description
The User Experience team at x.com is looking for a UX/UI Designer that will drive and document interface design solutions for business to business sites. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in detail UI documentation and have the necessary communication and presentation skills required to drive decision-making across a diverse cross-functional business and IT project team.
X.com is a start-up business unit within our client. ServiceLive has created both B2C and B2B platforms which connect contractors with individuals and businesses in need of their services. From basic home repairs to computer services, ServiceLive connects those in need with the best contract talent to complete their projects!
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, estimate and document iterative solution designs for complex system interfaces.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to deliver on new business initiatives and platform enhancements.
- Present conceptual and final solution designs to a cross-functional team for resolution on projects and small enhancements.
- Assist in developing methodologies, standards and best practices.
- Research and recommend appropriate interactive technologies.
- Document and maintain interactive experience reference library.
- Assist IT with discrepancies and trouble-shooting in Front End development execution of projects and site enhancements when necessary.
- Assist with note-taking and recording of user observations to incorporate user feedback into requirements analysis and interaction design validation/usability testing.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
- Ability to understand and communicate well with technical and business professionals.
- 5 - 7 years experience in designing and documenting for difficult and complex applications.
- Technical background in web design with experience or extensive knowledge of Front End development.
- Copyrighting and editing experience.
- Information architecture experience.
- Ability to apply industry user-interface design standards and best practices to design usable, intuitive software applications of high complexity and/or strategic solutions.
- Fast learner and able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Degree in human-centered design a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of browser compatibility, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Photoshop, and Visio or Omnigraffle.
