Senior Solution Architect/Technical Manager required by a global financial software house in London.

Upto £90,000 + fantastic benefits + competitive bonus

This is a key hire for the global financial software house that is looking to recruit a senior/lead solution architect that will be responsible for the entire development life cycle. The successful candidate will interface directly with their clients - acting as a representative for their company, therefore you must have come from either a consultative background or have strong experience facing off to the business and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the reference solution and Proof of Concept engagements - liaising directly with their clients, prospects and partners. You will be responsible for managing client expectations and working with all levels of client operational and technical support staff.
  • Ensure all inputs into the development process are all sufficient for the specific release.
  • Liaise with Product Managers and Project Managers - core product teams providing high-level designs that can take into account the existing software
  • Support sales - early client requests - support the requests and for proposals. You must be able to provide support to the technical pre-sales.
  • Remote and on site performance, testing, migration and production support
  • Detailed design work
  • Engages with technical team leads, technical architects and product management to communicate new designs, features and review test cases.
  • Monitor and progress - productivity of staff members

Key Responsibilities:

  • Degree educated (BSc or MSc)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a lead architect/lead engineer
  • Minimum of 7 years experience of OOD, enterprise service bus architectures
  • RDBMS experience required - Oracle highly desirable
  • Experience working with Middleware technologies and Servers
  • Experience within the banking domain - working within treasure, settlements, liquidity, payments, Back Office or Middle Office
  • This position would require a minimum of 12 weeks per year of travel throughout Europe and United States - you must therefore be eligible to work at these locations.
