Senior Contract UI Designer-part time/Side Work Contract Position
Atlanta, GA
The client has an immediate need for a Senior contract UI designer. We are in the midst of developing a completely new platform for our company and have already created a number of mockups for the new UI for the system but really need a professional designer to implement our ideas into code and to work with our developers to tie all of this together. I am looking hire a Senior UI Designer that can deliver an amazing UI for our new platform. It does not matter where they reside in Atlanta GA and I would almost prefer someone that is looking for some additional work and would like a part time contract.
As a UI Designer you will be primarily responsible for application and workflow design, interface prototyping, user experience and interaction study/design.
Responsibilities:
Assess and understand the company's products, interaction design and branding.
Create and manage visual design artifacts including design explorations, mockups, visual components, detailed Photoshop (PSD) files, style guides, and specifications.
Engage with development to understand platform capabilities, communicate design specifications, and verify implemented designs.
Effectively communicate user experience and design options to teams using design tools, prototypes, visual communications, and narrative vision.
Be passionate about brands, visual identity, marketing, and how they are expressed through digital products and experiences.
Ensure design engagements are executed on time and at a high standard.
Proactively obtain feedback and information to drive design engagements and decisions.
Qualifications:
Must have strong creative/arts background with exceptional visual design skills.
Must show a portfolio that demonstrates superior visual design skills along with your process and thinking.
Create finished templates using HTML/CSS/JQuery/JavaScript.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, usability, and style guides.
Superior skills in the areas of typography, layout, animation, and icon design.
Mastery of design and production tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Visual Studio.
Attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to juggle multiple projects, while maintaining knowledge of products.
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree in related field (equivalent experience considered).
