Position Description:
Experienced and flexible project manager needed to add high quality capacity to the team in order to start work on multiple projects. This role will likely be focused on supporting a single programme/project, which could include:
* Loans review across multiple product areas;
* Organisational and business process change;
* Technology related change projects;
* MIFID, Basel III and other regulatory changes;
* Client onboarding.
It is likely that the work of this individual will be cross-product, therefore flexibility and an appreciation of multiple investment banking products and operations will be more valuable than deep expertise in a few products. Adaptability in skill set may also be required so experience in business analysis would be a distinct advantage as would having a consultancy background.
Essential skills:
* A proven track record of Project Management and Business Analysis within the Investment Banking industry
* Ability to work well under pressure and always with a professional demeanor
* Appropriately assertive with excellent relationship building and maintenance skills.
* The ability to interact with senior management
* The ability to demonstrate innovation, good judgement and problem solving skills when making decisions.
* The ability to establish a course of action for self and others to accomplish a specific goal while using appropriate resources
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent team player.
* Must be proficient with MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio
* Practical understanding of project management including project life cycle, key tools (MS Project, Activity & Issue Trackers)and analysis techniques.
Preferable skills:
* Sector Experience; in particular Investment Banking, as an internal or external agent of change initiation or change delivery. Or Financial Services sector experience as a management consultant having spanned multiple clients and subjects held in high regard
* Should be conversant with terminologies & concepts relating to Front Office products (eg Equities Trading, Foreign Exchange, Rates, Distressed Products, Emerging Markets, Equity Proprietary Trading, Prime Brokerage).
