Our Austin, TX Client is seeking a Fast/Search API Architect.

Description:

The objective of the scope is to establish a program of work with the goal of supporting the documentation, support, and redevelopment enterprise solutions. Work products will be delivered according to Client defined milestones and project schedule, and will meet or exceed mutually agreed upon quality metrics. The provider resources will execute activities in support of analysis, design, construction, testing and deployment of applications.

The overall project objective is to improve Client's marketplace position and online presence and will involve a complete overhaul of Client's current online technology. As such, Client requires resources with deep subject matter skills in global website design, global E-commerce, user interface technologies and complex data architectures.

Required:

- Microsoft FAST engine API
- Search capability within FAST

Architect level skills need to be able to go deep into technology and communicate effectively to Client senior managers and technologist. Able to understand Client's  eCommernce landscape and position solutions to enhanse the Client's program.

Demonstrable knowledge of the consumer-focused design process, information architecture, and usability principles
Strong knowledge of web standards and semantic coding practices
Demonstrable knowledge of OO design principles
- Must extensive have C# and ASP.NET knowledge and experience.
- strong MVC experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team and offshore resources.
- Must be able to work independently and without much supervision.
- Effective documentation skills
- Experience with performance testing is a plus but not necessary. 
- Knowledge of Scrum and/or Agile Development is a bonus.
