ETL/Datawarehouse Developer - Scottsdale, AZ

Provides support, maintenance & development for our Datawarehouse as well as provides support for our dataset environment to ensure delivery of timely and accurate information to our customers and the business.-  Maintains all ETL processes using the Ascential DataStage tool on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.  Responsible for nightly builds of the warehouse, logging and monitoring of performance status.
- Consults with customers to gather data requirements and translate those requirements into data flows, mappings, business rules and outputs for various users.
-  Creates, maintains and merges project plans for large projects consisting of tasks for database team.  Ensures project plan status is communicated to the Applications Programming Manager.
- Acts as contact for ETL systems; currently Informix (UNIX), SQL Server (Windows), and DataStage (Windows).
 - Assists with implementation of Database development, including: data architecture for transactional systems, data warehousing (Star Schema, data modelling) and data analysis.
- Designs overall ETL processes and architecture.  Works with senior database analyst to implement ETL processes according to business rules identified by the business.
 - Creates standards and documentation procedures (best practices) for database team.  Works closely with application developers to ensure those standards are implemented consistently.  Conducts code reviews to ensure consistent application of standards and documentation.
 -  Responsible for creating test plans and methodology for migrating new projects from test to QA, and from QA to productions.
 - Responsible for maintaining and upgrading Development & QA environments so that they mirror the production environment.
 - Works closely with the Systems Support team to ensure that all applications/systems being developed have met the required hardware & system specifications.  ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-  Conducts software/hardware evaluations for new and replacement technology/tools in relation to Datawarehouse.
-  Ensures compliance with SOX  requirements for data access.
  
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- B.S. Degree in Computer Information Systems or an A.A. Degree in Computer Information Systems plus.
- 3-5 years applicable experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.REQUIRED SKILLS
- 2-4 years experience with Datawarehouse.
- 2-4 years experience with SQL Query Development.PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with ETL development with Star Schema.
- Experience with ETL development within Ascential DataStage.
