Assignment description:

The sector is delivering IT solutions supporting business requirements reflected in relevant product backlogs defined for different business initiatives in the relevant business units.

The department ETS Endur Common Services (ECS) supports the client`s business process Marketing and supply'.

Endur Technical Services are responsible for technical support and maintenance of a position management solution based on a product developed by an external vendor (Endur developed by OpenLink).

We are looking for a resource with a broad basic skill set that covers administration of Servers, network and databases to strengthen our Endur Technical Services team in Stavanger.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Databases - Oracle
Servers, mainly Windows

Other areas:

Endur (relevant training will be given)
Tools and routines for Configuration Management (Version control and Change Control) PVCS
Deployment of new releases
Migration (data and code) between the different environments (development, test and production)
Monitoring of Endur databases
Monitoring and maintenance of the interfaces between Endur and other solutions (internal and external)
Carry out changes to existing configuration
Follow up, Investigate and fix defects in configuration and specific functionality
In addition personnel must be prepared to work displaced/moved working hours due to our support to users in other time zones
Participate in testing of the technical side of fixes, new versions, hardware upgrades etc

Competence requirements:

Educated in IT
Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM
Scaling and configuration of infrastructure
structured and well organized
good communication skills
comfortable working across organizational and geographical borders
be able to handle high work load in periods
be able to work independently
must be prepared to spend time learning the business
ability to interact with business users and explain problems and solutions in a non-technical way
