Contract Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for a Contract Manufacturing Engineer to start ASAP on a 6-month contract initially. The role will mainly be focused towards a new project, ensuring that the consumables on the project are delivered in the right time-scale and cost to the company's clients.
Role responsibilities:
* Liaise with Purchasing, developing a strong supply chain
* Implement manufacturing processes for full life cycle, from initial assembly- sterilisation- calibration- packaging- testing and release.
* Development of the consumables packaging
* Implement a stocking, order/delivery process for the consumables
* Maintain/improve the design of consumables- liaise with design authorities within the company to ensure that this happens
Qualifications/experience required
* Degree, or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering
* Demonstrable manufacturing engineering/process design experience
* Jigs/fixtures design for manufacture
* NPI processes- good experience required
* Experience of product design/manufacturing documentation maintenance
* Excellent knowledge of engineering standards
* Design for Manufacture (DFMA).
* Lean practice
* Plastics experience preferred
