Quality Consultant

The Position:
The consultants will continue the work started up by the current software test team on the quality assurance of IT Applications. By now test automation has been introduced to many areas of the application. Further work needs to be done to extend the scope of test automation and usage of HP Quality Centre. Some of the IT Applications have been already in production for a few years; others are to go to production in the near future. The consultant will thus work on the current and upcoming versions, create and maintain test cases, implement test automation with HP quick Test Professional, perform necessary functional tests such as system, system integration and regression tests.
In more details it is expected to:
- Produce high-quality test deliverables
- Project level test plans as well as required detailed test plans such as release and UAT plans
- Create functional test cases for System, System Integration and Regression testing
- Design Stable and re-usable test automation scripts
- Conduct Defect Reports, Test Reports such as test execution progress and coverage reports
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be expected to possess the following:
- University degree in Information Technology with at least 5 years of hands-on experience and solid knowledge in IT Quality Assurance/Software Testing
- Strong expertise in Creation and Maintenance of functional test cases, Test execution, reporting test results and defects, development and execution of the test automation scripts
- Experience in using HP Quality Center/Mercury Test Director and HP quick Test Professional/HP Functional Testing
- Experience in Test coordination, creation of test plans and test reports
- ISEB/ISTQB Testing Certification
- Ability to monitor Linux server logs to gain information about the applications errors and issues
- Ability to perform SQL database queries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good Team spirit and able to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
