Objective: My client is a Brussels based international bank, now looking for a Quality Analyst and Project Management advisor.

Tasks:

The role will be twofold.

1) To support the Applications Development team in delivering key projects on time, scope, quality and cost. Additionally you will develop the bank's human capital, as part of a Project Leader Competency Centre of 3-4 people. For part of your time, you will be a member of this team which will act as the guardian and the promoter of the Project Management mandatory best practices, discipline and techniques. You be active on the "Project leaders Decision Board" which aims at collecting needs for improvements and getting the buy-in of representatives of the Project leaders community on new tools/processes/guidelines. You will also support the roll-out of these new practices in the most optimal way and will encourage Continuous Improvement for Project management processes.
To help develop the competence of the project leaders, you will also coach/advise/train them on the different aspects of the methodology and on the Project Management processes such as Planning, Cost Management, Deliverables Management, Stakeholders Management, Risks and Issues Management, Change Management.

2) You will also be part of the Quality Assurance team, as a QA analyst. You will perform independent Quality assessment for 2 to 4 projects ie. assessment on processes and on content based on observations and using a set of quality control expectations. You will then provide an overall evaluation of the quality of the projects. Based on these regular assessments, you will support the Project leaders defining their action plan to close the observed quality gaps and to develop further their competencies. You will then coach/advise them on the various Project management best practices.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to develop and promote best practices and to engage Project Leaders in this;
  • Pragmatism and capacity to keep things simple;
  • Ability to create good relationships with the Project leaders, be a good listener and also be influential;
  • Ability to organise/accomplish work efficiently and autonomously, seeking advice/support and escalating when necessary;
  • Very good communication skills both in face-to-face discussions and in front of a big audience;
  • Experience in Project Management and/or Quality Assurance is a must;

Language: English (plus French will be nice to have but is not essential).
