Description
Sr. Software Engineers needed for a long term contract opportunity at the headquarters of a software/services company in the Triangle Area of NC. The Sr. Software Engineer will perform analysis, design, programming and modifications of computer programs for software applications and customer applications.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing complex analysis, design, programming and modifications of computer programs for software
- Writing detailed specification and code, completing programming, testing and debugging of applications
- Documenting forms, procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs
- May be required to be on-call
- Ability to explain concepts with technical and non-technical staff
- May provide technical and project leadership and assist in training less experienced analysts/programmers
- Assigned work involves broad range of complex design and programming. Providing input to technology strategy
- Ability to meet heavy deadlines and may be subject to heavy workloads
Required Skills/Experience:
- Java 5 to 8 years
- J2EE
- Spring and Struts MVC frameworks
- WebSphere would be ideal
- JSP Web Services
- Oracle
- Preferred - IBM MQ messaging experience
