Description
A highly successful and leading Investment Bank based in Central London is immediately seeking a strong Java Developer with Middleware and messaging technology experience to join their Technology interfaces team.
The selected candidate will be reporting to the Head of Middleware and Interfaces and delivering integration solutions to support exciting project and business critical BAU initiatives. They will be developing knowledge in WebSphere MQ and Message Broker, and provideing high-quality support to other Technology teams and the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Design, development and testing of transactional message flows
*Identification and resolution of issues at all stages of the project life cycle
*Strict adherence to defect tracking and change control processes
*Provision of production support
Skills and experience:
Essential
*Very strong Java, with significant experience of implementing enterprise strength solutions using core Java libraries
*Experience of Middleware and messaging technology
*Strong first line support skills; able to own a problem through to its resolution
*Aptitude for learning new technology
*Investment banking background
Advantageous
*Unix (Solaris)
*XML/XSLT
*Experience of WMQ and WebSphere Message Broker
*Experience of integrating with Murex
*Experience with messaging standards (FpML, FIX etc)
