Project Description
Consumer's behaviour will change significantly due to technology changes. By 2013 smart phones will take over Internet access from PC's. To respond to these significant changes, Retail will have to significantly adapt the frequency, style, and channels to interact with its customers.
To support this, Retail is moving towards a more customer centric organisation, to leverage additional growth potential. Payment & Loyalty and its CRM activities have been identified as a key lever for growth to strengthen our relationship with existing and new customers. A high-level strategic roadmap until 2020 has been created to exceed customer expectation and to be able to interact with more customer in a targeted and timely manner (Real Time Marketing, Mobile Loyalty, Mobile Payment, other Smart phone apps, Single View of Customer). This roadmap is referred to as the Apollo programme. Apollo is part of Retail Marketing IT.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Programme Solution Architect will work with the responsible Domain Architects and the Enterprise Innovation Architects (Tacit) on various projects across the Apollo programme. Key deliverables include High-level architecture, technical designs, test strategies, working closely with project managers and business analysts. Communication to Retail marketing and Operations (central & local) and global/local IT groups is an important aspect of the role.
This role is a development opportunity to become the Test Manager or the Integration Manager (overseeing Design and Test) on the Programme, reporting to the Apollo Programme Manager.

Technical Skills and Experience:
- Very experienced solution architect (min 5 years, worked in different areas)
- Able to lead the project solution architecture work for the programme
- Experience in Loyalty or Payments world
- Aware of technology developments, specifically in Mobile
- Can set direction and creates structure
- Good conceptual thinker, able to create and get buy-in for new concepts
- Able to quickly identify and evaluate alternative solution options
- Very good communication skills, with different levels of stakeholders
- Able to explain technical matters in a simple and non-technical way
- Can and will go into details if needed
