Our Dallas Client seeks a Systems Administrator located in Andover, Massachusettes for a 6-month contract.
Job Description:
Primary responsibility will be to provide daily system administration support of classified programs. The candidate will maintain and troubleshoot AIX, Linux, Solaris and Windows environments.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventative and corrective computer hardware maintenance (IBM, HP, Sun, and other equipment)
- Build and maintain Servers for User Authentication, DNS, NFS, and other present and future service requirements
- Build and maintain Window desktops.
- Respond to user request
- Ensure server and Workstation compliance with DSS and/or DIACAP security requirements.
- Ensure all Information Systems (IS) equipment are configured and maintained to retain DSS accreditation during classified operations
Basic Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of IBM AIX operating system.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with Linux, Solaris, and Windows operating systems.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with of Active Directory.
- Good understanding of fundamental TCP/IP concepts.
- Familiar with storage concepts (SAN or Local Attached).
- Shell Scripting experience.
- Must possess US DoD Secret Clearance
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or 10 years relevant professional work experience.
- Worked in a closed area and are familiar with NISPOM requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of Redhat Linux operating system.
- In-depth understanding of Windows Server 2008 operating system.
- In-depth understanding of Windows 7 operating system.
- In-depth understanding of Suse Linux operating system.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
