Description
This international industry leader has an immediate 3-6+ month contract opening (with strong chance for conversion) in Marlborough, MA for a Senior Java Software Engineer with a passion for working on cutting-edge cloud technologies and a desire to influence evolving cloud initiatives. Will design and develop new and innovative software offerings in the Cloud Service and Management Automation space. Will be responsible for design, development, unit testing, and performance tuning of enterprise-class integrations and new applications. Will develop Use Cases and analysis/design artifacts.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor-'s degree, preferably in Computer Science.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, including participation in enterprise-class projects.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience with Build, Release, Configuration Management, Install and Source Code Control functions
- Experience with engineering tool deployment and maintenance
- Experience with Automated Build and Continuous Integration
- Prefer experience with Maven, Subversion, J-Unit, Hudson, etc.
- Understanding of CIM, SMI, and SNMP standards development required.
- A solid understanding of enterprise database concepts.
- Prefer expertise in model design, CIM provider design, general standards-based aggregation and integration systems development.
- C++ experience preferred
- Prefer Back End development expertise (especially EMC storage, Cisco UCS, VMware).
- Prefer experience applying unit testing to components under development and maintenance.
- Prefer experience developing distributed systems (Web services, Java RMI, RESTful or XML-based APIs).
- Prefer knowledge of UML, Domains, and Object Oriented programming.
- Prefer familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology and experience developing integrations in either a point-to-point or a service bus fashion.
