Description
Fortune 500 Industry leader seeking an Oracle eBusiness Suite Applications DBA for their North Texas team.
6+ years experience. Specializes in Oracle E-business Suite. This person will work in a team environment supporting production and non-production databases on Solaris platforms.
Oracle E-business Suite installation/upgrade/patching/operations.
-Working knowledge of Oracle E-business Suite R11.5.10+.
-Experience with R12 and with the upgrade from 11i to R12 strongly preferred.
NCA Architecture
- Experience with Concurrent Manager.
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills.
- Oracle Certification preferred.
- Experience with Oracle 10gAS preferred.
-This position requires a minimum of 6 years DBA experience. -Flexibility to be on-call 24x7.
-Candidates must possess strong skills in analysing, conceptualizing and problem solving.
Required Skills:
- Installation, upgrading and patching the Oracle RDBMS.
- Database backup and recovery using RMAN.
- Database operations monitoring using scripts and OEM.
- Copying databases/renaming files and creating control files. - SQL/PL/SQL and UNIX Shell Scripting experience.
- Focus on providing a high availability database.
- Tuning SQL and PL/SQL.
- Physical and logical tuning of Oracle Database.
- The candidate must have supported a development environment, be flexible with work hours, be personable and available for on-call.
