Description
This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity in Boca Raton, FL for a Perl Developer. Will be responsible for designing, coding, configuring, testing, debugging, and documenting system and application programs. Will assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents. Will review functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provide feedback. Will collaborate with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency. Will participate in architecture, design and code reviews. Will develops and maintain operational and system level documentation.
This position requires
5-7 years development experience.
Experience with BSD & Linux.
Experience with Shell Scripting, Perl, & PHP.
Experience with Perl Object Oriented Programming.
Knowledge of XML, HTML, JavaScript, and other web development technologies.
Database knowledge and SQL experience- Sybase, MySQL.
Diagnostic/trouble-shooting skills with the ability to quickly learn and understand new technical concepts.
Ability to take apart/understand Legacy code.
Ability to adhere to coding standards, framework design Good written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
