Description
Portland Resourcing is urgently looking for an SAP Master Data Manager to set up the Master Data function for our global end user. The successful person must have at least 2 projects managing Master Data projects and have experience setting up and utilising the MDM function.
Area of responsibility
The Master Data manager coordinates the global master data team across active roll-outs and ensures that decisions on global master data are made and communicated.
* Data governance, ie procedures, processes, organisation, and tools are well defined, documented and enforced,
* Management of relevant parts of the SAP project from detailed specification and economics, through development to implementation,
* Performing the cooperation with the SAP solution providers, and
* Continuously analysing data and business requirements in order to improve SAP utilisation.
Scope of work
* Participate in the SAP implementation project with special focus on your functional area,
* Implement and ensure compliance with the MDM procedures including introduction of relevant KPIs, and
* Monitor the use of SAP, changed business requirements and development of new technology and tools for MDM.
The person
A minimum of 5 years of experience from a professional IT environment of which at least 3 years from a similar role. The ideal candidate has taken part of a SAP development and implementation project. He or she must be a good team worker, should have clear insight into possibilities and limitations within the SAP environment and should be willing to travel. In addition, the candidate thrives in a complex and dynamic environment and possesses strong communication and English skills, both orally and written.
In addition the candidate has some project management experience and preferably knowledge of oil industry processes.
