Senior .NET Developer - Downtown, NY, USA - 6 Month - $50-55p/d + exp, .Net, C#, SQL, Web Services, WCF.
Job Description:
The senior developer will assist with development tasks related to the EAN project (a data integration project). This project will build a single strategic source for entry aggregation and navigation. This position reports directly to technology director but will interface extensively with others on the team and the extended team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Design and develop .NET application, web services and windows processes to transform, load, extract and delivery the data using various design patterns
* Design and execute business test scenarios for unit testing and communicate with other developers and business analysts of any issues.
* Design data models to support business reporting and analysis
* Hand-on experience creating complex business reports
* Very good understanding of data modelling concepts
* Strong programming language skill in .NET, C#, SQL, etc.
* Very important to have experience of developing Web Services.
* Proficient in SQL Server
* .NET 3/.5/4.0 with WCF.
* Provides design recommendations and options, develops and integrates programs per specifications.
* Provides assistance in researching and adopting new and emerging technologies, evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be included in projects.
* Leads project planning sessions with clients and Business Analysts to analyze requirements.
* Presents status updates for various projects to project management and senior managers.
* Works with vendors to understand technology and performs technical due diligence on third party technology delivery.
* Provides technical guidance to team members.
Education:
* Bachelors degree in computer science/MIS or related field.
