Our Austin, TX Client is seeking multiple CoolGen Developers. 6 Month contract to hire positions.

Description:

Analyze, design, build and test changes to CA GEN based application for one or more of the following functional areas: Provider, Member, Claims Processing, Payments.

Record test results in test management system and resolve identified defects as assigned.

Perform post-deployment verification per deployment procedures.

Demonstrate working knowledge of appropriate programming languages and tools for supported systems.

Utilize document management system to maintain documentation.

Peer review work done by other team members.

Adhere to applicable process standards.

Utilize change management system to version code changes and follow approved change management processes.

Provide realistic estimates of own work.

Skills Required:

Basic Qualifications:

2 years full life cycle development experience for applications using CA:GEN (CoolGen) 6.5 and above.

2 years experience with Object Oriented programming.

Experience with CA:GEN target Implementation for HP/Tandem NSK platform.

Exposure OLAP Reporting Tools (ie Bus Objects).

Experience writing SQL and working with databases.

Experience working in a team environment.

Documentation experience using Visio & Word.

Preferred skills:

Experience with C and SQL on HP/Tandem NSK platform.

Experience with TACL, Inspect tools for HP/Tandem NSK platform.

Experience CA:GEN target implementation for Java on Wintel platform.

Medicaid application experience in financial and claims processing systems.

Quality Center, Serena or similar test and configuration management tools.

Professional Skill

Ability to work independently as a team member

Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards the tasks at hand.
