SUBSEA PROJECT ENGINEER - Aberdeen - 12 Month + contract

My client, a global Oil & Gas Operator based in Aberdeen is currently recruiting for an experienced Subsea Project Engineer who will be responsible for the technical assurance for the engineering and design of the subsea assets for the Enochdhu Development Project and the technical integration of Enochdhu with existing Callanish subsea assets and the Britannia platform. This role will also involve Technical interface coordination with the subsea controls project engineer to assure equipment integration into the subsea manifold design and fabrication.
Main functions:

The Enochdhu Development Project Engineer is required to have technical expertise and experience in:

*Bundle pipeline engineering and design
*Manifold/towhead engineering and design
*Bundle system fabrication, testing, and installation
*Expertise in dynamic stress analysis (installation and operational), buoyancy control, and general pipeline line sizing calculations
*General crossing engineering and design requirements
*Coordination and integration of flow assurance data into the pipeline engineering and design
*Bundle system testing and pre-commissioning

The Enochdhu Development Project Engineer should be familiar with general requirements for:

*Operations start-up, commissioning, and handover
*Technical specifications for and procurement of major subsea pipe and valves
*Seabed metrology for subsea tie-ins
*Offshore installation vessel operations
*HAZOP for subsea systems
*Rock dumping operations, subsea piling operations
*Installation vessel fit-for-purpose requirements
*Installation and as-built survey requirements

General Responsibility
*Lead by example to promote and incorporate HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
*Ensure that all fabrication and subsea construction work is executed in an entirely safe manner [without loss or injury] and in accordance with the project HSE management plan and Company corporate HSE policy
*Ensure that all subsea design, fabrication and construction technical issues are reviewed by specialists. The candidate is required to have a strong pipeline bundle system engineering background.
*Prepare and coordinate the requirements and deliverables for the Capital Projects Management System (CPMS) gate approval process to include completion of an integrated review that results in no high findings.
*Coordinate the delivery of engineering and design deliverables to assure that the Enochdhu project is complete on spec, on time, on budget and within HSE targets.
*Coordinate technical oversight of the EPIC Contractor work scope to ensure that all contractor engineering, drawings, method statements and procedures meet CPMS requirements.
*Provide technical content as required for all permits and consents.
*Manage all technical interfaces among the parties such as BOL, EPIC contractor, vendors, suppliers, and operations to assure consistent technical specifications, dimension control, functional specifications and operating requirements.
*Maintain a high level of awareness of project risk events and provide assistance as required by the project manager to maintain and update the project risk register.
*Ensure that all technical documents, drawings, letters, emails, transmittals MOM's, reports etc. are communicated/transmitted via and in accordance with project approved document control system procedures and processes.
*Maintain a high level of cognizance with regards budget/spend to provide input as required to the project manager.
Attend and provide input as required to regular progress meetings.
*Provide timely input to regular report weekly and monthly reports as required by the project manager.
*Provide subsea technical consultation as required from time to time by other projects in addition to Enochdhu.
*Assume project manager's technical authority as delegated by the project manager.

Critical Skills & Experience

*Minimum 15 years experience in subsea engineering, design, fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning. Specific bundle experience and subsea tie-backs a plus.
*Familiar with installation and operational stress calculations and FEA analysis software such as ABACUS and/or ANSYS.
*Familiar with installation vessel requirements and operations.
*Good communications skills, both written and verbal, in the English language.
*Current offshore survival certificates and medical certificate
*Effective at working in small highly effective project team.
*Willing to commit to the project through closeout.
