Description
Our Client is seeking a SQL Database Administrator to join their team in Amsterdam to undertake the following:
- Maintain SQL server databases 2005 and 2008
- Perform software upgrades
- Perform software patching
- Deliver SQL server performance and tuning support to the customer
- Maintain 2nd/3rd line incident handling and tuning.
So we are seeking applicants with the following skills and experiences:
- Extensive knowledge of SQL server 2005 (and ideally 2008)
- Experience with physical installation of SQL Server databases/hosting environments
- Experience with performance and tuning of SQL Server databases (on Instance, Database and SQL level)
- Experience to work in a SQL Server hosting
- Experience in advising application developers.
- Knowledge of logical and physical Datamodelling
- Experience with maintaining Oracle databases (9i and 10g)
- Experience with working in a Datawarehouse environment
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services - Certified SQL Server DBA (minimal "Database Administrator 2005") preferable 2008
- Experience with working in large complex environments
