The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment to a large European site.
The requirement is for a multi-talented developer as follows:-
- broad knowledge of IT, from Front End to Back End and database with:; ability to solve problems in variety of technologies and in new environments; quick learning; proactive attitude, punctual and professional attitude. Technical fields include PHP, Java, .NET or other web technologies, and experience with multi-tier architectures is quite important.
This is a project under development, that re-engineers an existing Network" platform (ColdFusion, Drupal, FirstClass) into a new platform based on .NET and SQL Server, with web sites in Drupal and a module for forums and messaging presumably in PHP (with PHPBB). The job is very open; activities could be development of cross-systems components (like synchronisation between old and new systems or within new system), problem solving (defects, challenges), specific development on .Net, Drupal, PHP, SQL, deployment, testing automation, etc. as well as technical design documentation or team collaborative activities.
