For one of our clients we are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer (APQP)Task:
Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for leadership, training, and mentoring the Supplier Quality team. The scope of work includes leading, training, developing and monitoring the status of Suppliers that are engaged in work projects connected to the Advanced Product Quality Planning Team. The SQE will lead, enable, and mentor team members to: develop and drive an advanced quality product planning system, use of associated tools, assess potential supplier capabilities, influence the correct sourcing decision, support/drive pre-production meetings to enable product and process development, support/drive correct prototype sample approval process, support/drive correct product PPAP process, assess supplier capacity to meet product requirements.
  
Main responsibilities and Skills:- Ensures compliance of engineering specifications, customer requirements and company policies/procedures.
- Develops implements and monitors the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and its associated methods/tools.
- Functions as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality and delivery issues prior to launch of new product.
- Facilitates and/or supports supplier performance management reviews.
- Provides guidance to Supplier Project/Product Managers to achieve goals in accordance with established programs and timing.
- Interacts with supplier senior management as well as middle management and individual contributors/groups.
- Provides guidance to supplier with design, tooling, machining, layouts, assembly, calculating cycle times, and process development.
- Supports the leading of cross functional teams, developing and improving manufacturing/engineering systems, as well as leading Lean manufacturing events.
- Works as the liaison between internal and external engineering, materials, purchasing, management, quality and production to ensure that new products meet quality and delivery goals.Location: Bruntingthorpe, UK
