DESCRIPTION:The current process is that Engineering (Development) completes their testing and passes the latest release to QA for Functional testing based on the provided documentation.  Once functional tests have passed then the latest release goes for 14 days of testing using simulators and real manufacturing machines.  The 14 day test covers stress testing and regression testing.  It is then sent to Field Services for a final test prior to release to the customers. The client requires a QA analyst to work using the process listed above.  ie complete the functional testing and coordinate the release into the stress test.  They will need to raise and document issues as well as triage issues raised by users.  The QA analyst would work under the QA Manager's coordination.  It is understood that there is a learning curve although there are training CDs available to assist.Requirements:

Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes - writing and executing testcases and ensuring coverage is attained.  Retesting as required.

Knowledge of Issue tracking, the ability to triage issues and monitor and follow up on existing issues as required.

An engineering interest or background (given the nature of the product) would be helpful.

Excellent written and verbal skills.

A degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.

Valid drivers license and car with the ability to work in Bolton.
