Description
An experienced media relations officer is required for a short term contract within a central government body.
You will be responsible for all media relations duties including being the main point of contact with local and national media, providing a consistent, professional and timely response to media enquiries, producing press releases and developing and maintaining media contacts. You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive media, assist with internal communication and also evaluate content on the website.
You must have strong media relations experience gained ideally within the public sector, you must also be able to demonstrate experience of developing, using and evaluating use of social media at a corporate level. The organisation have recently launched a face book page and will start using Twitter and Linked-In.
