Position: VAS Engineer
Location: Iraq (Baghdad)
Duration: 6 months+

Penta Consulting URGENTLY require a VAS Back Office Engineer for a high profile project working for a major vendor in Iraq on a 6 month+ contract
Scope of Work
- Preventive, corrective maintenance & 2nd line intervention of VAS network elements including Logica SMSC, Bulk Server with SMSC Engine.
- Planned Maintenance (Health Checks, Backups etc )
- Problem Escalations and Follow-ups (CSR)
- Performance Analysis & Investigation
- Troubleshooting of SS7, SMPP, UCP & various TCP IP protocols
- Interface with Customer, 3PP and Ericsson Competence domains.
- Ensure smooth and quality system/service handover from Project.
- Outage reporting & performance reporting on 3PP Support activities
- Backend Support and monitoring of all nodes in relevant competence domain area
- Ensure availability of 3PP VAS nodes in case of onsite emergencies
- Enforce and ensure adherence to Change Management processes and procedures in all support processes.
- User acceptance testing on new solutions
- Multi vendor Verification testing
- Collaborate with other support group(s) in customer network for problem resolutions such as IS (Information Services) and Switching
- Involve in the roll-out of all equipment, services and products.
