Description
A state owned company requires a software tester for a 6 month contract based in Dublin City centre. You will be required to support the IT Project Implementation Team in the preparation and execution of the Market Trial phase of the project. You will report to the project's Market Trial Test Coordinator.
The main tasks will be to aid in the preparation effort (generation of test scripts, data etc.) and execution of the Market Trial phase of the project. In addition, you will, in conjunction with the Market Trial Test Co-ordinator, actively deal with any queries raised by stakeholders (including Market Participants) during the test phase. You will have a minimum of 5 years test experience, be familiar with structured test methodologies and have previously worked on large scale systems implementations (ideally web based).
Responsibilities:
Documentation of Test Scenarios
Test Cases and Test Scripts
Definition and preparation of Test Data
Identification and analysis of software defects
Report to the Market Trial Test Co-ordinator - results, test metrics etc
The successful candidate will have the ability to interact with databases via SQL.Extensive Test Preparation and Execution experience (preferably with web based systems incorporating XML and web services) are essential for this job and good knowledge of software development life cycle and defect resolution in particular will be beneficial.
