POSITION SUMMARY:
GREAT opportunity to work as Senior Data Modeler with one of the world's largest provider of vehicle remarketing services! This industry leader is looking for a talented and skilled Data Modeler who will be responsible for translating business requirements into information system solutions by designing and developing relational and dimensional models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
POSITION RESPONSIBIILTIES:
- Facilitate requirements elicitation and modelling sessions including use of interviews, document analysis, workshops etc.
- Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical/canonical and physical data models.
- Model transactional databases for high-volume applications.
- Responsible for modelling of BI solutions including dimensional data marts.
- Work with database administrator to create physical database designs.
- Assist with the development and enforcement of data modelling standards.
- Participate in data definition and data management reviews.
- Enhance existing models or reverse engineer and document Legacy systems.
- Participate in data analysis and data dictionary and/or metadata management.
- Research best data sources and data mapping business rules.
- Provide consulting services regarding information flow and data content issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 5 years of experience in Data Modeling
- Strong knowledge of Relational and Dimensional data modelling concepts
- Experience using CA Erwin or other similar modelling tool
- Strong Experience working on large volume databases, specifically Oracle 10g/11g and DB2
- Proficient in Data-Management concepts, practices and procedures
- Working experience using reporting and ETL tools such as Cognos and Informatica
- Strong SQL skills including DDL and DML
- Experience working in complex projects with multi-tier architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent

- Master Data Management (MDM) experience will put you ahead of the pack!
