DESCRIPTIONThe IT Administrator will performing Oracle DBA application support activities such as database creations, object migrations, and security configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of databases.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must have a minimum three years of experience as an Oracle DBA with experience in versions 10g and 11g.
- Versed in performing various types of database migrations using the Oracle Datapump utility.
- Ability to communicate, plan, and coordinate database activities with associated application areas.
- Mandatory adherence to Change Management principles, including Sarbanes-Oxley and Ferc requirements.
- Experience with the Erwin modelling and DBArtisan DBA tools.
- Performing database job scheduling, Unix Shell script programming and maintenance.
- Should have Oracle ASM experience within a SAN environment.
- Experience with the IBM AIX and RedHat Linux platforms.
- Working knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery and the RMAN recovery catalogue.
- Experience configuring and using the various OEM Grid Control add on packs.
- Willingness to work alternative schedules from time to time.
