Description
DESCRIPTIONThe Graphic Designer will make adjustments through the duration of the application development process of an existing web page. Will make adjustments and changes to screens in a way that fits with the established look and feel of both the current website and the new interactive web application.
Responsibilities:
- Take existing web page layouts and make changes and adjustments per business user requirements.
- Deliver graphic layouts for updated functionality quickly and accurately.
- Utilize graphic layouts to consistently represent the company's brand and offerings.
- Work individually and as part of a project team.
- College or University degree in the field of Computer Science or Art/Graphic Design.
- 3-5 years of experience in UI/web-based interactive graphical design and development.
- Expert knowledge of design tools, such as Dreamweaver.
- Advanced knowledge of HTML, preferably HTML 5, DHTML and XHTML.
- Understanding of and ability to use JavaScript, XML and CSS.
- Understanding of how to work in a shared development space.
- jQuery skills a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Team player, good interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional departments and partners.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to code Front End for integration with Server Side.
- Experience with usability.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
- User interface design as applied to Web-based applications.
- Includes an understanding of interface usability and interaction design principles and UI best practices.
- In-depth/advanced knowledge of GUI prototyping tools, web development technologies, and protocols.
