Our client, a global Operator in the oil and gas industry, is looking to expand their team and are looking for an experienced Project Controls Engineer (PCE) - Pipelines (Field). The Project Controls Engineer will undertake the detailed scheduling of activities for Pipelines Projects - Narrow Crossing (Field) as required. The role also required the Project Controls Engineer to oversee schedules developed by contractors for site works and undertake the development of individual project schedules.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Develop the schedule baselines, including activities and milestones, dependency logic and sequencing, estimating activity durations, critical paths, and resource allocation loading and levelling
Present schedule baseline approval packages to the Project Group Planning Team and Project/Construction Managers
Advise on the performance of the project in relation to this area
Review and comment, where appropriate, with regard to Contractor reported progress claims. Independently verify the reported progress and report deviations and concerns to Pipelines Project Controls, C&P and Construction Management functions
Assist the Pipelines C&P function in the site based verification of Contractor progress claims/applications for payment, in line with Contract Terms & Conditions and relevant Exhibits.

Required skills, experience and attributes will include but are not limited to:
Educated at tertiary level in an engineering discipline
Understanding of Critical Path scheduling methodology
Good attention to detail including schedule development and documentation of assumptions supporting the schedule
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and understanding of the need to provide a professional and prompt service to all stakeholders
Ability to build close working relationships across the business unit and with contractor organisations and obtain reliable data from subject matter experts
Good written and verbal communication skills
