2. The following minimum requirements must be met:
Minimum Requirement
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
3 to 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning and implementation.
CCNA Certification
CCNP Voice (Formerly CCVP) Certification

Responsibilities
(a) Assists in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems (including wireless) of moderate complexity.
(b) Participate in network planning, network architecture design and engineering.
(c) Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signalling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
(d) Evaluate new products, performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications. Monitors protocol compatibility, performs system tuning and makes recommendations for improvement.
(e) Install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, VPN and access services including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, EIGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, BGP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists
(f) Poses the skills and ability to manage and optimize LAN and WAN network systems.
(g) Provide skills to demonstrate and validate the advance knowledge and skills required to integrate into underlying network architectures. Provide the skills required for implementing, operating, configuring, and troubleshooting a converged IP network. Create a collaboration solution that is transparent, scalable, and manageable. Able to focus on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (formerly Unified CallManager), quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco Routers and Cisco Catalyst Switches. Provide support with the integration and troubleshooting of Cisco Unified Communications applications and more specifically the Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco Unified Presence applications.
Complexity
The Sr. Engineer must be capable of providing the following level of complexity:
(a) Intermediate professional level role.
(b) Works on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration and optimization.
(c) Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead.
(d) May coach more junior technical staff.
