Sr. Network Engineer - Phoenix, AZ  
An estabolished client seeking a senior network engineer to assist with project implementation and support of day to day operations of their data network.  This position will be participating with customers and partners in projects to streamline and enhance the network infrastructure.  

Qualifications
Requires at least five years of experience in enterprise network design, installation and support of Cisco-based LANs, MANs, and WANs.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, math or a related field.
In depth configuration and troubleshooting knowledge of Cisco's network hardware and software platforms along with extensive experience supporting TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Multicast, ACE Modules, Nexus and Catalyst Switches, Enterprise-wide QoS, circuit emulation, VOIP, data center, and network security is required.
An equivalent combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
A well qualified candidate will have leadership experience in a team oriented environment.
Cisco CCNP, CCDP, and/or CCIE certification is strongly desired.
Working irregular hours, second and/or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings may be required.
Duties
This position will perform engineering and maintenance activities for the client's data network, which includes design, implementation, configuration, and advanced support of network services in a complex distributed environment.  This position performs advanced technical analysis and evaluation of hardware and software configurations, manages carriers, projects, support programs, and vendors.  The network is inter-connected with carrier services, and utilizes well over 100 miles of copper and fiber optic communications infrastructure using a host of protocols such as TCP/IP, ATM, Frame Relay, T-1, and Metro Optical Ethernet protocols.  The resource should have initiative, be able to handle multiple demands concurrently, excel in time management, and have demonstrated strengths in customer service, problem resolution, network documentation, managing risk, mapping business problems to products/solutions, and translating project requirements into tasks.  This position should also practice continuous process improvement methodologies to streamline existing network operations and to improve operational efficiencies.
