JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role, the Senior PM will be focusing on ensuring the success of customer deployments, managing the planning and execution of optimization efforts, and coordinating the interaction of customer USA based and customer global teams/resources customer resources toward the completion of customer key projects.
Main objectives of the role:
o This position requires a good level of knowledge of IP Telephony Cisco technologies and solutions, as well as an ability to effectively manage projects, timelines, budgets and resources.
o Manages large/complex cross-functional projects or multiple projects or takes a business management role in an account or group of accounts.
o Provides leadership to project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners or subcontractors.
o Manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of escalated project issues.
o Influences the customer in the assessment, planning and management of related network projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
o The ideal candidate has extensive industry experience and is comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment that is global in reach.
o Typically requires BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 10+ years related experience in networking/telecommunications industry OR min 4-5 years managing IP Networks/Telephony implementations and support PLUS 4-5 years in a clearly defined Senior Project Management role.
o Project/Program Management experience in the deployment of leading edge technologies in a highly complex commercial environment.
o Has basic knowledge of routing, routing protocols, switching, Internet and general network architecture.
o Fluent English essential
