Our client is a high profile Telecommunications Corporation located in Tampa, FL has an excellent opportunity for an SMS Managed Storage Technical Support Engineer for a minimum of an 18 months contract. The selected candidate will have requires a strong skill set in SMS managed storage, catalogs, Virtual Tape, and other general Mainframe Storage management processes and procedures

Position Description:

Provides 24X7 Technical support for development and production Mainframe Storage environments.

Position Responsibilities:

Key Skills: SMS Managed Storage

This position requires a strong skill set in SMS managed storage, catalogs, Virtual Tape, and other general Mainframe Storage management processes and procedures. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide assistance to Operations, VIPS cross-functional support groups,
  • Application support teams
  • 24X7 problem/crisis determination, management, and resolution
  • Vendor coordination, management, and escalation
  • Provide system recovery, technical support and documentation for Disaster
  • Recovery tests
