EMPLOYEE RELATIONS CASE MANAGER required to work for a large telecommunications company based in Berkshire.

The Employee Relations Case Manager will join the ER Specialist team providing expert advice and support to the business managers on all Employee Relations issues. In the role you will have considerable scope to influence the business in complex ER cases, being instrumental in driving them through to a commercial conclusion. The role is varied and demanding, covering a wide scope of responsibilities, working within a team dedicated to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the Employee Relations Case Manager include:
CASE MANAGEMENT
Providing expert ER advice in a commercial environment to business leaders, managers, employees and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on issues including: grievances, disciplinaries, appeals, performance issues, absence/health issues, discrimination, harassment, discrimination and tribunal claims
Ensure risks of ER issues escalating are minimised and work within the team to support consistency of decision-making across all business areas
Manage the legal/cost risk of all cases on an ongoing basis, regularly assessing and advising on commercial risk
In partnership with the L&D group, develop training programmes to up-skill managers on employment legislation and the management of ER issues
Manage complex and/or long term sickness cases and act as key liaison point for Occupational Health
Identify, analyse and proactively advise on re-occurring ER themes within the business and be instrumental in the develop/implement of effective solutions
Develop strong working relationships with the HRBPs and Business Leaders to develop an excellent understanding of the commercial business drivers in the allocated business area/s

HR POLICIES
Responsible for the design, implementation and review of fit for purpose, competitive and legally compliant HR policies that are aligned with brand/tone of voice.
Interpret the latest employment legislation and HR policies into practical, straight-forward language to deliver workable solutions for the business
Provide updates and training to HRBP's, managers and HR Helpdesk on policy changes

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Work proactively in partnership with HR Helpdesk, Specialist Teams and HRBP's to agree consistent processes and hand-offs that provide the business with seamless HR support and advice from initial query through to case conclusion

GENERAL
Provide expert knowledge of employment legislation and case law
Continually strive to provide 'best practice' HR advice through information sharing internally and externally benchmarking
Proactively network with HR professionals across the industry. Take up opportunities to attend network groups, seminars etc and share the learning
Develop effective relationships with external legal advisers and be responsible for cost control

The successful Employee Relations Case Manager will have:
Specific skills and passion for Employee Relations
Strong commercial acumen, practiced and comfortable in educating managers on dealing with ER issues, such as disciplinaries, grievances and redundancy and ideally, TUPE and employment tribunals
Expert employment legislation knowledge
