Description
Our client plans to provide Machine Translation Software capable of translating documents from Chinese to English (later on also to German and French) and viceversa.
To improve the translation quality the project searches for support in:
- searching for document pairs available in both languages using existing databases,
- developing text-processing tools to find exact translations in document pairs
- and archiving the translations in a database.
- Document and database administration is part of the tasks.
TASK/DELIVERABLES:
- Collect human translations for Chinese-EN, -FR, -DE.
- Pre- and post-process data and upload data to databases including check of the completeness of upload.
- Search for data in patent databases.
- Develop of tools to pre- and post-process patent text documents.
- Develop and execute different tools (parsing and converting texts, tools for data search, list comparison).
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Very good experience on data and data-base administration (eg upload data,search for data, parse and convert text, monitor of database, creating databasetables).
2. Long Experience with software development using the technologies: Java, XML,XSLT, SQL-queries, Hibernate, Tomcat,
3. Experience in development of tools for text document processing such as parser,converter, comparison of tables and files.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in a multicultural environment located in Den Haag/NL.
Open and flexible working attitude
Very good English and in 1 other language.
