Job Purpose
*The Siebel Developer is responsible for the low level design, documentation, and development of solutions to meet the provided requirements, lower level designs and work packages. Work packages will allocated by the Siebel Solution Team Leader, and the Siebel developer will be responsible for regularly reporting their progress against those packages.
*The Siebel Developer will display an excellent knowledge of the Siebel product set and will be responsible for ensuring all work complies with the defined architectural solution and development standards.
*This person is knowledgeable in all aspects of designing, constructing and deploying integrated systems and will ideally be an expert in Siebel webservice integration via EAI.
*Whilst the role is primarily focussed on the Siebel product set, the role will also encompass implementations that require decoupled integration to other internal and external applications, using Service Oriented (SOA) methods and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
*Interpret high level design documents, requirements and architectural solutions into low level designs
*Clearly document the low level designs
*Report accurately on delivery status to Team Leader
*Development, Unit and SIT testing of Siebel related requirements
*Identify and resolve defects
*Ensure solution complies with, and supports the defined enterprise/solution architecture.
*Works within, and contributes to the prescribed development standards.
*Work closely with the test teams to help define test plans and help triage defects.
*Identify areas of configuration/code that do not meet the development standards or defined solution and design
*Ensure designs maximise the use of out-of-the-box functionality, and built in an extensible manner to promote reuse.
*Support other developers in all aspects of design as required
