The Company
A unique opportunity exists within a market leading digital organisation for an experienced Senior Java/J2EE Developer. Located in Sydney's CBD, they offer the opportunity to work with on of Australia's largest digital networks. An influx in project work surround cloud computing and formation has resulted in a need to recruit within the development function immediately.
The Role
You will join this dynamic and fast-paced team of Java/J2EE developers to tackle this exciting greenfields project. You will be part of a dynamic team sitting in one of the largest and innovative media organisations in Australia.
On a daily basis, you will be involved in end-to-end development using Java and J2EE technologies within this agile environment. You will be involved in all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
You will also be involved in discussions with the business unit/owner and also with the Testing team.
You will be given the opportunity to progress into a Java Team Lead or Technical Lead position.
Required Skills/Experience
As a passionate Senior Java/J2EE developer, you will have the following experience:
- 5+ years experience in hands on Java/J2EE development (Java 6)
- Solid experience working with MySQL (MySQL 5)
- Strong experience with Spring and Hibernate
- Experience with Spring MVC or Struts
- Experience with JSP and Maven 2
- Selenium, JUnit, and JMeter
- Experience with Web Services and XML APIs
- Detailed design and development with Oracle
- Ability to architectural and Proof of Concept documentation
- Excellent communication skills
You will be passionate about Java/J2EE development and have a strong desire to work within media and product. Experience as a Senior Java/J2EE Developer within the media industry or with high volume website development will be highly advantageous.
