Mechanical Design Engineer/Draughtsman

Our client designs bespoke machinery and micromachining processing tools for a global customer base.
We are looking for a Design Engineer with Solidworks knowledge to join the design team on a 6 month contract. The role will involve taking detailed drawings and turning them into workable designs for bespoke equipment.
We are ideally looking for someone with a working knowledge of high precision equipment specifically mechanism design/detailing.
Skills/Background:
- Experience of Solidworks is essential, for modelling and detailed design
- A background in automated machinery with precision mechanisms & components would be highly desirable, especially experience with cams, levers, gears and bearings
This is an opportunity to join a well established company that offer competitive rates and scope to work on interesting projects. This is a 6 month contract initially, however, the client would prefer to develop a long term relationship with whoever joins with a view to offering them repeat contracts in the future.
