Project background:
Our client is planning an upgrade from SharePoint 2007 to Sharepoint 2010. While the internal client team works on the upgrade from 2007 to 2010, they are looking to bring in a consultant to provide ongoing administration and support for the SharePoint 2007 user groups. This consultant will NOT be working on the upgrade but will be interacting with the user groups to maintain the existing system.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary contact to business users for all SharePoint matters
- Administer all SharePoint 2007 sites and provide support for all SharePoint 2007 issues
Skill Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years Experience with SharePoint 2007 as an analyst including:
- Site setup & configuration
- Site administration
- Training/Mentoring business users
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving user issues
- Excellent communication skills
NOTES:
They are NOT looking for a technical' person but more of an analyst who can interact with the users and maintain the configuration of SharePoint 2007.
The candidate MUST have experience with SharePoint 2007. Many candidates will likely have 2010 experience and may not be willing to take a step back' to work only on SharePoint 2007.
